01 · The Service

Renovation framing that sets up every finish trade for success.

A renovation is a sequence of trades, and the framer sets the tone for all of them. When the framing is done right — walls plumb, floors flat, openings sized correctly — every trade that follows can do their best work. When it isn’t, the problems compound. The tiler works around an out-of-plumb wall. The millwork installer shims and scribes to hide a floor that isn’t level. The painter caulks gaps that shouldn’t exist. By the time the renovation is finished, the framing error has multiplied across every trade and every surface.

We approach renovation framing with the same discipline we bring to new construction. The existing conditions are surveyed before any new framing begins. Floor heights are checked. Walls are plumb-tested. Existing structure is assessed for the loads the new layout will impose on it. We understand what we are inheriting before we start changing it.

Our renovation framing scope covers full-home interior reconfigurations, kitchen and bathroom layout changes, basement finishing, main floor open-concept conversions, and second-floor layout modifications. We work from your architectural drawings and interior design package, and we coordinate with your structural engineer wherever the renovation touches load-bearing conditions.

When we finish a renovation framing scope, the site is clean, the frame is true, and your finish trades can start their work without correcting ours.

03 · How It Works

Our process.

01

Existing Condition Survey & Drawing Review

We review your architectural and interior design drawings and assess the existing conditions before we quote. Floor heights, existing structural members, and load-bearing conditions are all identified and factored into our scope before we commit to a number.

02

Estimate & Phasing Plan

You receive a clear scope and price. We also provide a phasing plan that sequences our work around your mechanical, electrical, and finish trades — so the renovation moves forward without one trade waiting on another.

03

Precise Renovation Framing

We frame the renovation from the existing conditions out — shoring first where required, new structure next, then partitions, bulkheads, and interior elements. Every phase is executed to the drawings and to the standard the finish trades depend on.

04

Inspection & Hand-off

We coordinate framing inspections at each phase with your general contractor and inspector. When every element is signed off and the site is clean, the renovation frame is handed off ready for mechanical rough-in, drywall, and the finish trades that follow.
