Insurance Claims & Structural Fire Restoration

We restore fire-damaged structures and rebuild compromised framing with precision, working directly with insurance companies to ensure safe, code-compliant repairs.

01 · The Service

Structural restoration built to code, documented for your claim.

Fire damage is not just a finish problem. By the time the smoke clears and the restoration contractor arrives, the structural frame of the building has often been compromised in ways that aren’t visible from the surface. Joists are charred. Studs have lost structural capacity. Connection points are weakened. A restoration that addresses the finishes without properly assessing and rebuilding the frame is a restoration that will fail inspection — or worse, fail structurally after occupancy.

We specialize in structural framing restoration for residential fire damage claims across the GTA. We work directly with insurance adjusters, restoration project managers, and structural engineers to scope the structural repair accurately, document the work thoroughly, and execute the rebuild to current Ontario Building Code standards.

Every fire restoration framing project begins with a structural assessment. We identify which members need full replacement, which can be sistered or reinforced, and which are structurally sound. We document our findings clearly so the insurance scope of work reflects the actual structural condition — not an approximation of it.

The rebuild is executed to code, inspected at each phase, and handed off with complete documentation. Your insurance company gets the paper trail they need. Your client gets a structurally sound home built to the standard it should have been restored to.

02 · Scope of Work

What's included.

L

Drawing Review

Structural assessment of fire-damaged framing members before any restoration begins — every joist, stud, and connection point evaluated and documented.

L

Foundation Framing

Insurance scope documentation prepared to support the claim — structural findings recorded clearly so the approved scope reflects the actual condition of the frame.

L

Floor Systems

Demolition of compromised structural members — charred, weakened, or structurally failed framing removed safely and disposed of per site requirements.

L

Wall Framing

Temporary shoring installed where load-bearing members are being removed or replaced — structural continuity maintained throughout the restoration sequence.

L

Roof Structure

Full structural framing rebuild to current Ontario Building Code standards — floor systems, wall framing, and roof structure replaced to match or exceed original specifications.

L

Structural Steel Integration

Sistering and reinforcement of partially compromised members where full replacement is not required — assessed structurally and executed to engineer specifications.

L

Sheathing

LVL beam and engineered lumber installations where the restoration requires upgraded structural members — coordinated with your structural engineer.

L

Inspection Hand-off

Building permit framing inspections coordinated at each phase — we remain on site until every structural sign-off is complete and documented.

L

Site Clean-up

All demolition debris, charred lumber, and site waste removed before we leave. Clean site handed off ready for mechanical rough-in and interior restoration.

03 · How It Works

Our process.

01

Structural Assessment & Scope Documentation

We begin every fire restoration project with a thorough structural assessment. Every compromised member is identified, evaluated, and documented. Our findings are prepared in a format that supports the insurance scope of work — so the approved budget reflects what the structure actually needs.

02

Estimate & Restoration Plan

You receive a clear scope and price aligned with the approved insurance scope of work. We sequence the restoration to minimize the time the structure is exposed and to coordinate cleanly with your mechanical, electrical, and interior restoration trades.

03

Code-Compliant Structural Rebuild

We rebuild the structural frame to current Ontario Building Code standards — shoring first, demolition of compromised members next, then full framing replacement. Every phase is executed to the structural drawings and documented for the insurance file.

04

Inspection & Documentation Hand-off

We coordinate building permit framing inspections at each phase and remain on site until every sign-off is complete. The completed restoration is handed off with full documentation — ready for your insurer, your inspector, and the trades that follow.
