In the Trade

Inspection Pass Rate

Most framers treat the shell as a necessary step to get past. We treat it as the foundation everything else depends on — because it is.

D&A GTA Custom Framing was founded with one conviction: the structural frame of a custom home dictates the quality of everything that follows. The drywall. The millwork. The tile work. The mechanicals. When the frame is off, every trade inherits the problem — and nobody talks about where it started.

We specialize in the work other framers turn down. Complex roof geometries. Cantilevered structures. Multi-transition rooflines. Cathedral and vaulted ceilings. The builds where precision is not optional and the margin for error is measured in sixteenths.

Our clients are custom builders, architects, and discerning homeowners across the Greater Toronto Area who understand that the bones of a home are not the place to cut corners. We frame for them knowing that our name is attached to everything that follows.

03 · How We Work

The principles we build by.

Tolerance, not approximation

We frame to a sixteenth. Not because codes require it, but because the drywallers, tile setters, and millwork installers who follow us do their best work when our walls are true. We build to the standard the next trade deserves.

Complex geometry is our specialty

Complex roof geometries, cone roofs, cathedral ceilings, cantilevered overhangs. The architectural details that define a custom home are exactly where we choose to focus. The cut math, the geometry, the structural solutions — this is where experience shows.

Clean hand-offs, every time

When we finish a job, the site is clean, the structural engineer has signed off, and the next trade can start without second-guessing what they inherited. A clean hand-off is part of the service.

Transparent from the first call

We read drawings carefully before we commit. If a scope has complexity that affects timeline or cost, we say so before we start, not after. Our clients know what they are getting and when they are getting it.

05 · Testimonials

What our client says

D&A framed a build for us that had three roof transitions, a cantilevered second storey, and a vaulted great room. They handed it off square to a sixteenth across every wall. Drywallers loved them. So did we.
